When do the apps land?
The stores say "coming soon" and that is true: iPhone and Android are on their way. People who leave an email hear the same day they open.
What does it cost?
Nothing. During the beta it is free, all of it: recording, transcribing, the journal, the map, search and the tips.
Do I need signal?
To record, no: the audio stays on the phone and uploads itself when signal returns. For the tips yes, because they need to know which corner you are on and what time it is there.
Where does the journal text come from?
From what you recorded, day by day, in your words. If you did not say it, it is not there: you will never read "the sun was setting over the sea" if you never mentioned the sea.
Can I find something I said months ago?
Yes, and without remembering the exact words. Search "the day it rained and we ducked into a bar" and the memory comes up, even though you never said any of those words.
Does it help if the trip is still just an idea?
The idea is enough. Say where you dream of going and which months you can travel, and it tells you when to go — even if the best season falls outside.
Does it help with visas and paperwork?
It tells you what you need and how far ahead to start, but it never assumes your passport: it asks which one you hold before telling you you are fine, and sends you to the official source.
What do you do with my email?
We write to tell you the day the apps land. We do not sell it, and if you want it deleted you write to [email protected]. The site has no cookies and no trackers.
The trip you took in 2019 has faded. This one has not happened yet.
